December updates
Hi everyone, hope you had a good Christmas.
It's been a while since I last posted due to a busy work and home life so here are the latest updates I've received from the Home Watch Co-ordinator -
The first update relates to a Microsoft technical support scam that you might want to look out for. At least one resident on the estate has had this type of scam tried on them. There is also information on a delivery scam to look out for.
I've attached a copy of the latest Trading Standards, ASU and CADNWA newsletters and details on signing up for Home Watch Alerts sent by Lancashire Police
Finally here's a link to an e mail I received about Dalton and Dalton who are claiming to be able to reduce your Council Tax banding for a fee (direct link here).
Have a good New Year
Abby

Hi everyone, here's the latest updates I've had from the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator.
The first is the July Trading Standards Newsletter that you can read by clicking here. The second concerns an initiative by the Office of Fair Trading which you can see here. There is an article on telephone scams here and the latest Air Support Unit Newsletter here.
There is also an article about volunteering opportunities here and the latest Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network Newsletter here.
I've also been asked to pass on details of the Trading Standards Scambuster Facebook page which you can find by clicking here.
That's all I have for tonight,
take care

Monday night updates

The latest Air Support Unit newsletter can be read here and the May edition of Chorley Rural West policing newsletter is here. There's an email about the National Neighbourhood & Home Watch Week here and the latest Trading Standards bulletin here.
I've also been asked to pass on the address of the Crime Prevention Website which can be found at http://thecrimepreventionwebsite.com/. There's an email explaining more about the site you can read here.
Finally, I've still got loads of UV pens to mark property with and Neighbourhood Watch stickers if anyone wants some. Just let me know by posting a comment and I'll drop them off.
Happy reading!
Abby

Latest updates
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I posted mainly due to a shortage of updates coming through from the Police Home Watch Co-ordinator. But I've had some through this week reporting a scam operating in the Chorley area and cold calling in other parts of Lancashire so I'm posting the links and I hope they are of interest. There's also a copy of the last Air Support Group newsletter here.
There is also information about the CADNWA AGM here, here and here!
Thanks to those of you who replied about helping with gritting, please check your email as I've written to you with some extra information. If you're interested in helping spread grit it's not too late to volunteer, please get in touch with me by posting a reply.
I've also sent a letter to the Parish Council on behalf of the estate thanking them for their donation towards the grit bin. You can read it by clicking here.
That's all I have for now, have a good weekend and keep warm!
Abby
